Sebring Regional Airport’s U.S. Sport Aviation Expo will have a grand entrance through the stunning airport Galleria this January 24-27 flanked with aircraft parked directly in front of the entrance.
“Visitors will have the opportunity to listen to many new speakers such as Captain Rahmani, first female fixed-wing pilot in the Afghan Air Force; Peggy Chabrian, President and Founder of Women in Aviation, International; Kat Swain, instructor of military and civilian pilots, and now a drone pilot expert; Dr. Story Musgrave, Astronaut who performed the first shuttle spacewalk on Challenger’s first flight into space,” says Mike Willingham, Executive Director of both the U.S. Sport Aviation Expo and Sebring Regional Airport.
More Pilot benefits: 2nd and 3rd Class Medical Exams To Be Offered
Highlands Regional Medical Center (HRMC) will be performing 2nd and 3rd class medical exams on-site at the Sport Aviation Expo. Sebring Airport is thrilled to have this option through HRMC for all pilots. Computers will be on hand to enable pilots the ability to fill out online forms for the FAA to complete this important process. Pilots should sign-up here to pay and reserve a time slot in advance for during Expo.
Large scale MultiGP sanctioned Drone Race will be happening again for 2018
Expo debuted unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs … aka drones) at the 2016 event. “This past January, we upped the Ante. AirOps Inc. and CineVista Media joined up with Sebring to add the first known large scale MultiGP sanctioned Drone Race at an aviation event. And, we’re doing it again for 2018,” enthused Expo Director, Melissa Finger.
